Why not? They’re quite affordable and sans a small number of difficult repairs are generally pretty durable. Plus early 90's Lexus = classy as hell.

It’s all in how you pick them :)

Most minivans do indeed have the fun sucked out of them due to being FWD, slow (ok, so recent ones have power, but in my experience delivery of said power often sucks) and with really annoying handling because large FWD lump.

FWIW though, screw it and go full size. I have many good memories in full-size vans, both riding and driving. For preference one like below... damn I loved that thing. It didn’t have much power (on account of it having a lowly 305) but it rarely felt lacking because low end torque. And while the handling obviously can’t be described as crisp or precise, the driving experience can be described as very fun.

But hey, opinions are like assholes... You’ll never come around to my tastes, I’ll never come around to yours. After all I’m the guy who genuinely enjoys a 1st gen Colorado. I’m pretty sure we’ve had this conversation before, anyway...
